Rashomon

At the ruined Rashomon gate, a woodcutter and a priest struggle to comprehend a disturbing murder case. A samurai has been killed and his wife assaulted, but every person involved provides a radically different version of what happened.

Through contradictory testimonies and shifting perspectives, Akira Kurosawa transforms a crime story into a revolutionary exploration of truth, memory, morality and the unreliability of human perception.
