The Lobster

In a strange dystopian society, single people are taken to an isolated hotel where they have forty-five days to find a romantic partner. Those who fail are transformed into an animal of their choice and released into the wild.
David, a recently separated man, arrives at the hotel and chooses to become a lobster if he cannot find a partner. As he attempts to adapt to its absurd rules, he begins to question the system itself. Yorgos Lanthimos creates a dark, unsettling and sharply satirical allegory about love, loneliness and social pressure.
