Wings of Desire

In the divided Berlin of the 1980s, two angels, Damiel and Cassiel, wander invisibly among the city's inhabitants. They listen to people's thoughts, witness their joys and sorrows, and offer silent comfort, yet remain unable to experience human sensations and emotions themselves.
When Damiel encounters Marion, a lonely trapeze artist, he begins to long for something previously unimaginable: giving up eternity to live as a human being. Wim Wenders creates a poetic cinematic meditation on love, loneliness, memory and the beauty of human existence.
