Yi Yi

In Taipei, the Jian family is going through a period of change. Father NJ reconnects with a former love, his wife struggles with a personal crisis, their teenage daughter encounters the complexities of first relationships, and young Yang-Yang observes the world with his own unique curiosity.
Through the small and significant moments of everyday life, Edward Yang follows three generations of a family while exploring love, disappointment, memory, loss and the choices that shape a lifetime. Yi Yi is a deeply human portrait of family and modern urban existence.
